The Echo Vascular Educator / Accreditation Specialist is responsible for maintaining IAC accreditation status through out all Echo Vascular current and new sites.  Primary duties will be maintaining real time documentation according to IAC accreditation standards throughout Echo Vascular departments on the IAC website.  Performing and maintaining monthly CQI audits, coordinating bi-monthly CQI conferences, and coordinating monthly educational opportunities across all sites. Actively assists and participates in all preparation and maintenance for regulatory agencies review and quality audits. Identifying policy errors and update policies in our Echo Vascular testing, coordinate with other departments as needed to amend policies. Demonstrate effective business communication skills, creativity and the ability to develop content in a variety of methodologies including TTEs, TEEs, SE, Pedi Echo, and all Vascular tests for classroom and written materials.  Serve as and partner with internal subject matter experts to quickly develop comprehensive curriculum to include regulatory requirements, system proficiency and patient care to be utilized in both orientation and ongoing education of employees. Other duties include but are not limited to: Develop curriculum and training resources and deliver training to Echo Vascular Technologists at various stages of experience. Conduct needs assessment and evaluation of training effectiveness and respond with appropriate content revision or addition. Routinely meets with EV Manager to keep informed of issues and/or errors that can effect accreditation, scanning/reporting quality, process and billing issues.  Extensive personal vehicle travel required between current and new sites per IAC standards.
Requirements:
• Must be dual registered in Echo and Vascular with appropriate accrediting bodies.
• BLS Certification required
• Associates degree
• Five years related experience as a technologist, previous preceptor experience required.
• Experience with Cardo Merge, EPIC, blended learning curriculums and/or authoring tools.  Proficiency in MS office products.
