Job Title: Manager, IT Digital Innovation
Description: Full-time contract
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the Manager, IT Digital Innovation will be a key contributor in developing and supporting a culture of innovation by managing innovation activities including ideation, initial and ongoing development, implementation, and support of mobile and other new digital solutions. This position will also work closely with leadership, providers and staff to identify, assess, develop, and support new ways of using digital tools and services to strengthen patient and family relationships with the client and enhance operational effectiveness and efficiency.
In addition:
• Cultivate and manage the innovation program of digital projects including both technical and operational requirements to ensure timely progress, effective program execution, and efficient product delivery and support
• Coordinate cross-functional teams responsible for developing, piloting and scaling new digital initiatives and tools
• Develop processes, tools and methods that elicit customer ideas, facilitate timely, objective evaluation and selection of new ideas for experimentation and implementation
• Ensure timely execution of experiments and prototypes by conducting well-planned, prioritized, executed sprints
• Facilitate program and product level processes, identify and manage dependencies and risks, and resolve or escalate (as needed) impediments
• Establish and execute a communication plan that enables leadership, product owners, and innovation team(s) to closely collaborate on, track, and share product metrics and business impact
• Monitor and provide transparent insight on overall program portfolio status
• Work with internal teams on identify and evaluate different ways to commercialize innovation initiatives
• Work with leadership to establish and manage collaborative relationships that enable efficient, effective solutions that enable innovation
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree is required; Master’s Degree is preferred
• Minimum five years’ experience managing cross-functional programs or projects in a complex environment
• Working knowledge and experience with process improvement / development methodologies including Lean Six Sigma and Agile
• Strong working knowledge and expertise with Microsoft product suite, digital development methodologies and tools including Low Code and No Code (LCNC) and public cloud (AWS, Azure, Google) platforms
• Working knowledge of current digital innovation trends and best practices in healthcare
• Prior supervisory or experience in a healthcare environment is preferred
• Experience conducting / facilitating product design workshops to determine look and feel, Minimum Viable Product (MVP) requirements
• Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities
• Exceptional service orientation, diplomacy, and emotional intelligence
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships across an organization, including physicians, senior management, clinical leaders, staff, and patients; experience working successfully with internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to effectively motivate clinical, operational, technical colleagues in collaborative, team-oriented, matrixed-reporting environment
• Patient and effective, with the ability to provide organization and structure in ambiguous situations
• Judicious and proactive in managing competing priorities
• A thoughtful listener and engaging well-rounded communicator with excellent spoken, written and creative thinking skills
• Ability to translate complex technical and functional requirements into relatable terms for internal and external stakeholders, digital development, delivery and support teams
• Comfortable with ambiguity and interacting with all address policies, principles, and operational issues in both overview and detailed levels
• Committed to innovation, ongoing improvement and personal development
Desired Technical Education/Experience:
• PowerBI experience and working knowledge of pivot tables to create dynamic decision making dashboards
• Experience navigating and working within Amazon accounts (EC2, Config, etc.)
• Experience with GitHub and/or other code repositories
