Company Overview:Georgia Center for Sight's ambulatory surgery center, American Eye Surgery Center, is looking for a PRN/part-time Registered Nurse to work in our fast paced, growing surgery center.Position Summary:Performs nursing care for the patient in the immediate post-operative/post-anesthesia period, assessing and documenting the patient’s status upon arrival in the recovery room. Provides nursing care to meet patient needs related to surgical condition and type of anesthesia administered, monitoring patient and informing the surgeon or anesthetist of observed complications.Responsibilities:1. High school graduate or GED certificate recipient2. Graduate of accredited school of nursing3. RN with active license in the state of Georgia4. BLS and ACLS certification5. Evidence of leadership qualities6. Strong ethical and moral character references7. Language skills adequate for high-level written, interpersonal and telephone communication in American EnglishPreferred1. Perioperative experience in outpatient or ASC setting2.
