Ethicon , a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies is currently recruiting for a Senior Process Engineer for the Product and Process Tech OPS Group.  This role is primarily based in Cornelia, Georgia, however one will need to travel to the Athens, Georgia plant.

Key Responsibilities:
• Plans and conducts activities related to the development of new processes including researching current and emerging technologies, evaluating process cost, quality, and capability alternatives, and performing process characterization and optimization using designed experiments, problem solving, and decision-making tools.
• Provides technical expertise in troubleshooting, design, and construction of manufacturing processes, systems, and equipment.
• Ensures fulfillment of all regulatory, safety, industrial hygiene, and environmental requirements for implementation of new products, processes, and equipment.
• Function as the individual product system owner for a particular suture or needle product line
Qualifications
Education:
• A minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering; Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or similar is required
Required Experience & Skills:
• A minimum of 4 years of related professional experience
• Medical device or pharmaceutical validation experience
• Plastics processing experience (e.g., polymer, injection molding) OR Metals processing experience (e.g., forming, electropolishing, heat treatment)
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and manufacturing processes
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of 21CFR 820, 21 CFR 4 and ISO 13485/EN ISO 13485
• Knowledge of Statistical and analytical problem-solving methodologies
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
Preferred Experience & Skills:
• Experience with Minitab
• Experience in leading and managing projects
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
