General Job Description:
The X-Ray Technologist is responsible for producing high quality radiographs following Articularis Healthcare protocols, procedures and regulatory compliance in an efficient and accurate manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Ensure that equipment and accessories are maintained and functioning. Notify supervisor of equipment problems and services calls placed. Notify appropriate personnel of supply requirements.
• Operate and maintain required equipment necessary to produce radiographic images.
• Perform various simple to complex radiographic procedures.
• Obtains and accurately records patient information; vital signs, height, weight, allergies, current medications, and all medical history in the EMR.
• Responsible for updating charts and tracking paperwork to completion.
• Responsible for cleaning and preparing x-ray suite and other common areas.
• Minimize radiation to patient and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques, using beam restrictive devices, patient shielding, and knowledge of exposure factors.
• Assist with patient flow and maintain good communication between all clinical staff members.
• Maintain good QA records and reports for DHEC.
• Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Graduation from an Accredited Radiology Technology Program.
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) and valid State Radiological License.
• Valid CPR certification.
• Experience in a clinical setting.
• Experience and ability to navigate an EMR.
• Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bilingual
• 3+ years of experience in a clinical setting.
• Rheumatology experience.
