Full Job Description
This position is located in the Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs (DCRA), Office of Service Integrity. This position functions as Risk Management Coordinator, responsible for implementing, coordinating, and maintaining an integrated program of safety and risk control for the Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs; primarily through systematic loss and incident analysis, consultative risk exposure solution development, compliance monitoring and target loss prevention training. The incumbent also provides law enforcement liaison services designed to facilitate and promote the propriety, integrity, and agency compliance regarding regulatory matters.
Duties and Responsibilities
Reviews, analyzes, and interprets regulations and legislation pertaining to risk and safety management. Ensures that all aspects of agency loss retention program is in compliance with DC Office of Risk Management policy requirements, and develops and implements a formalized process of regular communication with agency management. Investigates all accidents and incidents, prepares appropriate reports, recommends corrective action, and monitors abatement activity to ensure resolution of the hazardous condition. Coordinates notification and investigation with applicable DC Office of Risk Management. Maintains incident files to include statistics, causes and locations. Regularly, either announced or unannounced, evaluates and monitors work sites. Maintains a program of risk control site surveys and incident investigations. Monitors and coordinates risk control and related activities arising from agency Risk Assessment and Control Committee minutes. Monitors and reviews procedures and performance of contracted security services. Provides safety and security training and program assistance to agency.
Qualifications and Education
Specialized experience is experience which is directly related to the position which has equipped the individual with the knowledge, skill, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, one (1) year of specialized experience must have been equivalent to the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression.

Position Designation: This position is designated as Security Sensitive. The incumbents of this position will be subject to enhanced suitability screening pursuant to Chapter 4 of DC personnel regulations, Suitability.
