Job Description The DevOps Engineer will automate and increase efficiency of the processes of designing, developing, testing, and releasing software, allowing for NIC MAP Vision’s continuous delivery of software and software updates. This role will identify and solve software issues and provide updates as needed. The DevOps Engineer will be the primary manager of cloud infrastructure and the CI/CD pipeline. The DevOps Engineer will also provide management of a small on-premise infrastructure.
This position is primarily remote but may require travel to our Raleigh, NC office 4-5 times per year. Candidates within a commutable distance preferred.
This is a full-time, salary position.

Responsibilities
• Ownership and management of complex cloud-based infrastructure, including:
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines
• Kubernetes/ Linkerd container environments on Linux
• Oversight of virtualized database(s) including Postgres and Redis
• Maintain and expand Azure cloud environment including:
• Virtual networks, including NGINX, and supporting tooling (e.g. RabbitMQ)
• Maintaining strong RBAC and permission management (NSGs, etc.)
• Virtual machine management
• Maintenance of a small on-premises network, including
• Patch management
• Server maintenance, version upgrades, maintain office network.
