Job Summary:
Owensboro Community and Technical College invites applications for a part-time / temporary, Sr. Administrative Assistant position in the Academic Affairs Department. The assignment period will be from August until end of September 2022. This role will provide administration support involving a wide variety of administrative functions for which the assistant assumes a lead responsibility as the delegate of the administrator. This position will report directly to the Vice President of Academic Affairs.
Duties:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
The duties/responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
• Maintain and organizes area calendar and schedule
• Perform general support duties such as preparing correspondence, memorandums, reports, filing, phone calls, faxes, etc.
• Serve as receptionist such as greeting visitors, answering phones, and distributing mail
• Respond to issues and concerns that affect the department
• Assist with high level, confidential material related to the department
• Manage departmental budget and orders departmental supplies
• Manage administrative functions on behalf of the administrator
• Employee may be required to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically noted
Additional Qualifications:
• Strong MS Office Suites experience (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
• Strong problem-solving skills. Able to manage various issues and suggest new solutions to supervisor or others in handling unusual problems .
• Maintain the highest level of confidentiality

Associate’s degree (related field) and three years of related work experience, or equivalent.
