Description:
SUMMARY
The Shipping Payloader operator is primarily responsible for loading finished granular product into the product loadout system and loading “fines” product into the “fines return system”. The shipping payloader operator will also assist with all the jobs necessary to maintain the product shipping units to ensure a smooth and consistent operation of the unit.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following, however, other duties may apply.)
• Comply with OSHA and Anuvia safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Follows all safety procedures e.g. lock-out tag-out, line breaking, confined space entry etc.
• Keep in close communication with the Shipping Panelboard operator for instructions throughout each day.
• Load the product hoppers as needed to send product to the railcar and truck loadout docks.
• Load fines in the fines hopper as needed to send fines back to granulation.
• Perform regular inspection and daily maintenance on the payloader including regular daily cleaning and washing off.
• Operate the skidsteer loader when necessary for cleanup.
• Help maintain a clean plant by picking up any fertilizer spillage on roadways or plant floors.
• Assist in other areas of the plant including granulation when needed.
• Train and learn other jobs in the shipping unit when giving the opportunity.

Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS
• Payloader and/or skid-steer experience is a must
• Able to pass employment physical and drug testing
• Prior experience on other heavy equipment a plus
• Prior knowledge of product transfer system is a plus
• Ability to react quickly to adverse situations
• Able to exercise independent judgment prior to consultation with supervisor
• Must have a hands-on approach and strong work ethic
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
• High school diploma, GED or greater
• Must be able to speak and understand the English language to ensure a safe work environment
• Willingness to comply with a stringent EHS policy and be comfortable working in a strong safety culture.
• Must have above average oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work well with others and be self-directed with only general supervision
• Computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to lift 50 lbs. when required. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb ladders, and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided and must be worn. Exposure to heights, noise, extreme weather conditions, and areas where hazardous chemicals are present. Will be on all 4 shifts including weekend and holidays. Ability to adapt to changing situations and to handle competing demands with flexibility
