The Senior Data Ethics Specialist assists the Chief Privacy Officer and Privacy Manager in leading Acxiom’s domestic and international data ethics, data governance, data protection, consumer care and privacy programs. This role helps to facilitate the application and integration of Acxiom privacy policies, as well as applicable laws, rules, and regulations into Acxiom data sourcing, product building, positioning, and delivery.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead the centralized intake for requests, complaints and comments from consumers regarding Acxiom products and solutions and administer Acxiom’s self-compliance systems, including consumer care, opt-outs, deletions (erasures) and data subject requests
• Assist in conducting self-assessment and updates to the global privacy compliance program infrastructure, including coordinating with various Acxiom internal teams to ensure that program requirements are documented, implemented, and followed
• Assist in compliance issue vetting and resolution
• Run implementation and management of global privacy software tool
• Assess the data governance operations of the organization and remediation efforts to ensure compliance
• Perform periodic monitoring and auditing of existing privacy programs, and provide regular communication to the Chief Privacy Officer and the Privacy Manager, as well as affected stakeholders, including senior leadership
• Support Legal, Privacy and Security teams with third party requested audits, including, but not limited to, IPG audits
• Assist in the management of third-party vendor management program
• Help to develop and manage compliance and audit oversight program for regulated data (e.g. DL Data and protected health information)
• Convey knowledge and advocacy around privacy considerations and obligations for each stakeholder area, including building privacy-related training and education modules
• Assist with privacy impact assessments in support of Acxiom’s compliance obligations, audit requirements, and consumer advocacy efforts
• Collaborate with internal groups to develop corresponding messaging and product positioning to support Acxiom’s privacy policies and obligations. Work with client service teams on compliance issues regarding Acxiom Privacy Compliance. Provide client support as needed
REQUIREMENTS
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Passion for data ethics and privacy
• Experience drafting and interpreting contracts as well as a background in auditing
• Self-motivated with an ability to work without direction and an unequivocal determination to doing the right thing, all the time
