POSITION : GRADUATION SPECIALIST
REPORTS TO :         REGISTRAR
SALARY RANGE: Mid to Upper $30’s, depending on education and experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Under general supervision, provides support to the Registrar’s Office and will be responsible for creating and maintaining the graduation application process, the graduate database, and managing all commencement-related activities. Additional job duties include but are not limited to the following: Data input and generating printed and/or electronic records or reports; verifying and reporting graduates through NSCH; customer service to include students, staff, and general public; assisting with registration and other special events; student record management; document scanning and indexing; and providing support by traveling to other Lanier Technical College campuses.  Other work-related duties may be assigned by supervisor.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Associate’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university and three (3) years of work related experience, to include working with the public in a customer service environment.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
• Ability to work flexible hours and maintain a 40 hour workweek, to include evenings and weekends on occasion;
• Skill in the operation of computers and job related software programs, i.e. Microsoft Office Suite;
• Effective oral and written communication skills;
• Effective organization and time management skills;
• Effective skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS : (in addition to minimum qualifications & competencies)
• Work experience using a student information system, such as Banner;
• Experience in event planning;
• Work experience with DegreeWorks;
• Proficiency in Spanish.
