This 200+ bed academic hospital proudly serves patients in the surrounding areas of Southern Virginia and North Carolina, offering a broad range of medical services including: advanced inpatient and outpatient surgical services, 24/7 emergency care, oncology, radiology, laboratory, cardiac rehabilitation, home health and palliative care, and much more. Surgical services offered at this facility include: ortho, spine, plastics, ENT, general, and urology/nephrology. This hospital has received The Joint Commission accreditation and maintains a number of full-time residents on staff.
The Perioperative Services Nurse Director will report directly to and work in collaboration with the Chief Operating Officer COO, and will be responsible for management of a number of direct reports including Managers, Board Runners, and Charge RNs. The Perioperative Services RN Director will oversee a total of 13 operating suites, in addition to all perioperative services areas: Post-op Recovery PACU, Pre-Op, Endoscopy/GI, Pre-anesthesia testing PAT, Sterile Processing SPD, and Same-Day Surgery. The Nurse Director will promote a positive, collaborative work environment between all surgical services departments, and will ensure delivery of high-quality patient care and improved post-operative outcomes.
