Piedmont Healthcare has a great opportunity for a Surgical Oncologist to join an established, successful practice near our Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital campus. This opportunity will allow the ideal candidate to join a practicing physician and team in a very busy practice setting while providing excellent patient care. Candidate can be board certified or board eligible and committed to providing high-quality patient centered care.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Perform hospital rounds on inpatients to include surgical floor and intensive care units
• Communicate patient condition changes to physician and coordinate care
• Interact with nursing staff, pharmacy, radiology and other service lines in hospital
• Answer ER calls
• Perform H&Ps, consults, and write progress notes on inpatients
• Assist with care of patients in the clinic along with performing procedures in the hospital setting
