Must be able to read and comprehend recipes. Must be able to make calculations to adjust recipe quantities.Position Requirements: Responsible for a high quality and an adequate supply of baked goods and desserts. Responsible for dishing up items. Observes proper food handling, food preparation and maintenance techniques. Maintains work areas, equipment and utensils in a sanitary manner. Directly accountable to the Director or designated supervisor such as Assistant Director, working supervisor, or crew leader for assignments. Adherence to System, including the corporate compliance program, and departmental: policies and procedures, objectives, performance goals and objectives, safety, environmental and infection control standards.A: Licensure/Certification/Registration: None requiredB. Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent. Vocational training in quantity food preparation and sanitation can be substituted for experience.C: Experience: A minimum of one year’s previous food service baking experience in a hospital, extended care facility, institution of full service restaurant is required.D. Special Qualifications: Must be able to work from weekly menus and production sheets using approved recipes to prepare food items, observe routine work schedules and follow the System and departmental operating procedures. Must be able to carry through the completion assigned and planned tasks. Must exercise initiative and also have the ability to exercise sound judgement performing daily and assigned work.
