Full Job Description General Description of Position: The receptionist provides the first impression of the hospital to clients and patients. The receptionist must be friendly, professional and courteous, and capable of handling many tasks at once with many interruptions.
Hope Animal Medical Center is a fast-paced clinic and we are looking for a Receptionist to join our team. We are a high-quality multi-doctor, full-service hospital. This is a Full-Time position. This team member is responsible for managing multiple phone lines, booking appointments, greeting clients, processing payments, and ensuring that the reception area of the hospital is clean and presentable at all times. Candidates must have excellent skills in the following areas: Client service, sales, communication, and multi-tasking. We are looking for someone with a great attitude, an outgoing personality, with a desire for long-term employment. Most importantly, applicants must enjoy working as part of a team in a high-energy, fast-paced environment. Must have a great, positive attitude !!! We are a busy small animal exclusive clinic.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, & ABILITIES:
• High School/General Education Degree is required, associate degree a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication. Must accurately relay the owner’s account of the medical concern for the animals(s) involved to the healthcare team members who will be involved in the treating patient.
• Excellent people skills, friendly, outgoing, and willing to contribute to a team.
• Proficient computer skills (beginner to intermediate in Word, Excel, & Outlook).
• Able to operate a multi-line telephone, copier, printer, and fax.
• One year of job experience working at a veterinary practice is preferred, but not required.
• Strong organizational skills, the ability to multi-task, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Compassion for owners and animals.
• Must be available M-F 9:15 am - 6:15 pm
