POSITION: INDUSTRIAL SYSTEMS TECHNOLOGY ADJUNCT – Hall and Barrow campuses
REPORTS TO: Dean of Advanced Technology and Engineering
COMPENSATION: Depending on education and qualifications
DEADLINE: Until filled
EFFECTIVE: Immediate
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under general supervision:
• Develops program and course outlines, goals and objectives
• Prepares lesson plans for classroom instruction for credited courses
• Evaluates students’ progress in attaining goals and objectives, submits midterm grade reports, final grade reports
• Maintains program certification requirements, as appropriate
• Prepares and maintains all other required documentation and administrative reports
• Completes required institutional trainings
• Ensures that safety and security requirements are met in the training area
This position will serve to support courses in our Industrial Systems Technology and Mechatronics  programs.  Classes run Monday – Thursday typically meeting 2 days per week for 8 or 16 weeks.  Courses include:
• DC Circuit Analysis
• AC Circuit Analysis
• Industrial Wiring
• Fluid Power
• PLC
• Mechanical Systems
• Robotics
• Pumps and Piping
• Motor Controls
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Associate’s degree in Industrial Systems Technology, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or closely related field from a regionally accredited college or university, with appropriate coursework that demonstrates competencies in specific course content. Credentials must satisfy all appropriate accrediting agencies. Must have at least three years of industrial maintenance work experience.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES :
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, positive attitude, and professional attire.
• Electrical/mechanical  theory, lab procedures
• Use of basic test equipment: DMM, O-scope, power supply, function generator)
• Understanding of basic wiring codes
• Familiar with Amatrol trainers
• Familiar with Multi-sim simulation software
• Math includes algebra and basic trigonometry.
• Ability to supervise students in the classroom.
• Ability to develop and evaluate daily lesson plans.
• Ability to direct and assess students’ progress in achieving required competencies.
• Ability to handle administrative responsibilities related to teaching of courses, data collection, and reporting for license agency, accreditation agencies, and the college.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (in addition to minimum qualifications and competencies) :
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) language skills is a plus
More than three (3) years of industrial maintenance work experience

Minimum qualifications for this position will be determined by the teaching discipline and compliance with appropriate accrediting bodies. Faculty must be credentialed to satisfy all appropriate accrediting bodies for the course assigned.
