Description:

Section: Corporate
Reports to: Regional Operations Director
Supervise: N/A
FLSA Status: Exempt
Job Summary: Responsible for ensuring that Bridges of Kentucky will follow applicable federal, state, and industry regulations. In addition, this position is responsible for identifying potential compliance issues and developing strategies and procedures for ensuring compliance with the applicable regulations. Will support the operations team in maintaining quality services and supports.
Key Areas of Accountability
1. Regulatory Compliance
A. Responsible for providing oversight during audits and surveys, preventing issues, and ensuring follow-up after the audit or survey has ended.
B. Responsible for maintaining all accreditations and certifications for each company location.
C. Responsible for monitoring the company’s activities to ensure compliance with applicable external regulations, including state, federal, and local laws and regulations.
D. Responsible for executing compliance plans and ensuring the policies and procedures within the plan comply with applicable regulations.
E. Responsible for monitoring changes to local, state, and federal regulatory rules procedures.
2. Planning and Development
A. Responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of company policies, procedures, and processes and finding areas in which controls may need to be strengthened.
B. Assist in the screening of potential Family Home Provider applicants to ensure they meet regulatory requirements.
C. Responsible for developing continuous auditing techniques and analysis to utilize resources and identify potential risks and problems efficiently.
D. Responsible for conducting internal audits and investigations.
E. Responsible for identifying compliance risks and developing solutions to minimize or eliminate these risks.
F. Responsible for monitoring incident reporting and tend complaints and providing recommendations based on trend analysis.
3. Administrative
A. Responsible for participating in company-sponsored continuing education classes.
B. Responsible for participating in continuing education classes and seminars relating to Auditing/Compliance.
C. Responsible for participating in committees as needed.
D. Responsible for completing each assigned task by the company mission and philosophy.
E. Responsible for operational oversight in the absence of the Regional Operations Director.
F. Responsible for performing other duties as assigned.
4. Consumer Rights
A. Responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of all client information.
B. Responsible for ensuring that all clients are treated fairly, with kindness, dignity, and respect as stated in company policies.
C. Responsible for reporting allegations of physical, verbal, mental, and sexual abuse, including involuntary seclusion, neglect, or misappropriation of the client’s belongings or money.
D. Responsible for honoring refusal of treatment requests and for reporting such requests to the appropriate individual.
5. Reporting and Record Keeping
A. Responsible for the compliance of personnel records by ensuring that all credentialing requirements stay current throughout each employee’s tenure with the organization.
B. Responsible for the compliance of personnel training records.
C. Responsible for maintaining and updating Policy and Procedure as necessary.
D. Responsible for updating forms as necessary.
E. Responsible for managing document management protocols on One Drive to assure current documents are online and accurate. This includes Communication of updates as they occur.
F. Responsible for updating personnel training material as necessary.
G. Responsible for reporting and recording information as necessary.
H. Responsible for reporting occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, infectious materials, and hazardous chemicals.
Requirements:
Minimum Job Qualifications
1. Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required. Certification in Auditing is preferred.
2. Work Experience: Two years of related experience are required. Must be able to motivate and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organization and rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Must have critical thinking and analytical skills, proven leadership ability, multi-task and prioritize appropriately, and strong organizational and time management skills. Must have general computer skills, including the ability to use MS Office.
3. Working Conditions: Work is performed in various environments, including consumer homes, offices, etc. Driving is also required, so an individual must have a valid driver’s license and meet the organization’s driver insurability requirements. Must be able to function independently and handle mental and emotional stress. Must be at least 18 years old and free from communicable diseases as evidenced by an annual negative TB test or unremarkable chest x-ray per state requirements. The work also requires frequent walking, sitting, standing, bending, and stooping. In addition, it must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of the organization, such as being able to push, pull, move, and lift a minimum of fifty pounds to a height of three feet and be able to push, pull, move, and carry such weight a minimum distance of ten feet.
