Description
As an Insurance Preverification Specialist, you will be responsible for verifying insurance on all referrals.
Specific duties include the following:
• Pull referrals from SRS in a timely fashion.
• Use the phone or computer to communicate with insurance companies to initiate insurance verification
• Follow through on verifications until approval is obtained or denied.
• Set up peer to peer calls as needed with AOC providers and insurance companies
• Puts insurance verification information into patients chart for future reference for claims.
Education/Qualifications: The successful candidate for this position will possess the following education/qualifications: • Must be a high school graduate or possess a GED equivalent; some college coursework a plus
• Must be service oriented.
• Must have strong attention
• Previous experience working with insurance and benefits verification in a health care environment is preferred.
• Prior insurance preverification experience preferred.
