Review run list to coordinate changeovers and be able to perform all quality assurance checks and related paperwork. Operate equipment and all associated controls and make needed adjustments. Perform basic mechanical skills. Perform changeovers and troubleshoot the line without assistance. Must be able to train/assist other team members on process/machinery as necessary. Quickly respond to and remain at trouble spots on the line until resolved. Must communicate effectively with the Production Scheduler to ensure daily staffing requirements are met. Must be able to palletize, complete re-work, and empty totes, as necessary. Must assist in coordination and facilitation of team meetings. Must possess a basic understanding of math and computers. Understand, observe and comply with the handling and usage of the color-coded container policy. Maintain clean work environment and prepare work area for following shift personnel. Immediately notify maintenance, line manager, and/or team leader of any repairs or adjustments required. Possess thorough understanding of all company policies, including GMPs and safety policies. Communicate effectively with other departments, managers, and other employees. Immediately notify maintenance, line operations or supervision of any repairs or adjustments required. If necessary to use powered industrial equipment, the employee must obtain certification to do so immediately. The employee may have to arrive earlier/later than normal when start-ups or changeovers to different products occur. The employee must work safely at all times and follow all OSHA (safety) guidelines.Food Quality, Safety and Security: The employee initiates action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities relating to food safety and the quality of the product, processes, quality or safety system. The employee stops production, if necessary, to correct food safety issues, quality issues, or safety problems. The employee identifies and records any problems relating to food safety, quality of the product, processes, quality system or safety system. The employee controls further processing or delivery of nonconforming product in terms of food safety or quality issues until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected. The employee informs line supervisor, production manager, QA manager, or other management personnel of any food safety or quality issues or of any processes which become noncompliant with specified requirements.Competencies:Technical Capacity. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position, with rotating days off lasting a minimum of 8 hours and a maximum of 12 hours in most circumstances.
