Job Summary:
This position is a dual role that serves as the designated liaison between the criminal justice systems and the community mental health center, in addition to providing public education and training. Works closely with the local jails and Department of Corrections in assisting with the transition and service coordination for individuals who have involvement with the legal system and/or correctional system and have mental health and/or substance use disorder diagnoses. Tracks progress with participants using evidence based approaches to support recovery and reduce recidivism in partnership with probation and other criminal justice personnel. Attends meetings and events in conjunction with the Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) and Mental Health Court; attends Drug Court graduation events. Provides community psycho education and presentation about social determinants of health ( SDoH), as requested. Provides Mental Health First Aid Trainings to RVBH staff and the community. Provides linkages for individuals and families with limited English proficiency to services and programs to address behavioral health needs. Monitors culturally-relative policies, procedures and practices and provides feedback and recommendations to the organizational leadership. Requires a valid driver's license
Minimum Requirements:
-Master's Degree in public health, healthcare administration, social work, counseling, psychology, or other human service-related equivalent
-Requires 2 years of experience in administration and 5 years of combined experience working with law enforcement and healthcare
-This is a non-clinical role; however, candidate should have a good working knowing of the multiple/sequential intercept model, co-occurring mental health/substance use disorders, and the local legal system.
