Join the VF Family At the Martinsville, VA Distribution Facility you will work with an experienced Maintenance Team with 48+ years of combined experience. This is a 2nd shift position (4:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.)Pay Rate of $23.60 per hour with an increase to $24.60 per hour after 12 monthsThe maintenance technician is responsible for providing routine maintenance to the facility and equipment, as well as completing projects to improve the efficiency of the process. Starting the conveyor system and verifying that all components and devices are operating. Monitoring the conveyor system and reporting errors or problems to supervisors. Working with production management and the MIS department to resolve any errors, issues, or breakdowns.Key Responsibilities1. Assist in the operation and maintenance of the conveyor system. Make Electronic, electrical and mechanical repairs as needed. Assist the Senior Technician in troubleshooting and repairing the Allen-Bradley PLCs, AC and DC drives, scanners, scales, carton sealing, carton erectors, and other equipment as needed.2. Assist with performing preventive maintenance on the conveyor system and facility equipment.3. Assist with monitoring of all material handling equipment performance.4. Follow at all times, company safety rules, ergonomics procedures, and maintenance guidelines. Will be retrained in these areas, when requirements have been modified or updated.5. Will be cross-trained and perform other general maintenance duties as assigned by the Supervisor.6. Maintain a neat and orderly work area.R-20220712-0042
