Description:Working with general supervision, the Refurbishment Center Industrial Engineer is responsible for evaluating, designing, improving, and implementing processes in the Refurb facility as well as conducting time studies to ensure the expectations of the associates are fair and backed up by data.  These final processes will have the end result of better streamlining, simplifying, and improved ergonomics while also maximizing employee safety, quality, productivity, cost efficiency and reducing wastefulness.  An associate in this position may interact with his or her supervisor as needed by either, but will often gather requirements from floor leaders and lead their analyses independently.  In addition to technical and analytical expertise, this employee possesses strong communication and planning skills and will demonstrate superior customer service to the assigned departments.ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*Continuous review and improvement of production plans and processes for all Refurb Center functions by streamlining, simplifying, increasing ergonomics, etc.Development of process improvements and recommendation of technological upgrades that maximize process flow and reduce wasteandDevelop designs and production standards (Standard Work Combinations) with the assistance of the floor leadership and their team members.Design facility layout improvements and presenting them to the Refurb leadership teamDesign control systems to minimize costs and production issuesTrain staff members and leadership on new processesProvide and manage process documents and standard work combinationsRELATED COMPETENCIESInformation Monitoring:  Setting up ongoing procedures to collect and review information needed to manage an organization or ongoing activities within itService:  Demonstrates strong commitment to meeting the needs of co-workers, resource partners, and management, striving to achieve their full satisfactionWork Standards:  Setting high standards of performance for self and others; assuming responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments or tasks; self-imposing standards of excellence rather than having standards imposedTechnical/Professional Knowledge and Skills:  Having achieved a satisfactory level of technical and professional skill or knowledge in position-related areas; keeping up with current developments and trends in areas of expertiseBASIC AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE)Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from an accredited program requiredAt least 2-3 years experience as an industrial engineerExpertise in working with engineering and computer-assisted design softwarePrevious experience working in a manufacturing environmentProficiency in MS Office and AutoCADStrong technical writing abilityMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, JOB SKILLS, ABILITIESQuick learner, highly self-motivated, goal oriented and organizedAbility to work collaboratively and professionally across departments and supervisory levelsAbility to effectively and accurately review, document, and explain process flows and noticeable gaps or improvements that should be madeAbility to communicate effectively in English with management and co-workers, including the ability to deliver presentations as needed to small groups within the organizationDetail-oriented and effective at researching issues and problem solvingProficient project planning skills, including the ability to organize, prioritize and control job responsibilities in order to meet deadlines in an environment with overlapping and potentially conflicting prioritiesAbility to comprehend and adhere to all GameStop policies, including those related to scheduling and attendance, confidentiality, conflict of interest, and honesty and ethical conduct#LI-KA1
