Full Job Description This position will be assigned to the Athens clinic location, Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:30 pm
RESPONSIBILITIES
• 1. Positions patients for exams in the most effective way possible to ensure best views on exam.
• 2. Ensures all exams are completed in a safe manner
• 3. Consults with physician and others regarding any questions related to patient exam.
• 4. Effectively communicates with customers with questions or appointments.
• 5. Accurately makes follow up appointment for patients as necessary.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED Diploma or Associate Degree from an Accredited Radiologic Technology Program
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED 2 years previous experience in radiology technology required.
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED Must have certification as an ARRT(R) with additional registry as MR
SUPERVISES N/A KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED Able to communicate well with customers, Good phone skills, able to multi-task, basic knowledge of cross sectional anatomy, basic computer skills. Working knowledge of physic behind x-ray, MRI and CT modalities.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING CONDITIONS Physical/Mental Requirements Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 50 pounds. Ability move quickly in response to patient needs Ability to make occasional judgments and respond to disasters or emergencies, actual events, or drills. Must be able to deal with a variety of personalities with whom the employee comes into contact, both pleasant and irate.
Working Conditions - Category I: Inherent Exposure: Procedures and other job-related tasks that involve an inherent potential for mucous membrane or skin contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues or a potential for spills or splashes of them are category I tasks. Use of appropriate protective measures should be required for every employee engaged in category I tasks.
