Provide input and assistance in the creation or revision of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Perform all audits as required by the food safety and quality system. Complete all duties necessary to meet government and regulatory, SQF and company requirements. Communicate in English, verbally and in writing, to management and personnel from all departments any food safety or quality issues. Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities relating to food safety and quality of products and processes. Maintain legible and accurate records. Monitor raw ingredients and packaging materials through verification of COA’s, LOG’s, etc. Assist in the investigation and root cause analysis of internal and external product concerns. Ensure all test equipment is available and calibrated prior to new line start-ups. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas. Participate in sensory evaluations of current and new products. Complete all documentation and communication required to place raw ingredients and packaging materials on hold in the event of a quality or food safety concern. Create Infinity database for all new products/product lines. Maintain and update the Clarinet system. Possess functional knowledge of a computer, Microsoft Office programs and Infinity software. Understand and follow all company policies. Possess a basic understanding of math, measurement systems and scale operations. Participate in special projects as requested. Maintain all required food safety and quality system documentation and corresponding registers. Create code date sheets. Process all document change requests. Update and deliver new-hire training for food safety and quality topics. Communicate with suppliers any food safety or quality concerns. The employee must work safely at all times and follow all OSHA (safety) guidelines.Food Quality, Safety and Security: The employee initiates action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities relating to food safety and the quality of the product, processes, quality or safety system. The employee stops production, if necessary, to correct food safety issues, quality issues, or safety problems. The employee identifies and records any problems relating to food safety, quality of the product, processes, quality system or safety system. The employee controls further processing or delivery of nonconforming product in terms of food safety or quality issues until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected. The employee informs line supervisor, production manager, QA manager, or other management personnel of any food safety or quality issues or of any processes which become noncompliant with specified requirements.Competencies:Technical Capacity. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Days are Monday through Friday. Shifts are as follows: 1st- 7am-3pm, 2nd- 3pm-11pm, 3rd- 11pm-7am. The employee must be able to work overtime when required.Travel: No travel is expected for this position.Required Education and Experience:1. High school diploma/GED; and2.
