Located in downtown Tampa, the Straz offers flexible hours, event-based schedules including evenings and weekends, and a team-based work environment.
This position is responsible for creating a positive customer experience by providing clients with accurate program & event information, offering additional services to enhance the Straz experience, and assisting with the purchase and/or pick-up of tickets to Center programs & events.
Essential Duties Include:
• Provides superior customer service through face-to-face communication, telephone, online chat, and email.
• Uses a client list for making outbound sales and informational calls as directed.
• Accounts accurately for monies.
• Disperses "Will Call" tickets.
• Creates reservations for Maestro's restaurant and Maestro's Cafe dining facilities.
• Prepares "mailers" and ticket orders for mailing.
• Assists in providing coverage for the Receptionist, answering questions and directing telephone calls appropriately.
• May assist with miscellaneous ticket office projects as directed.
• Required to work evenings and weekends according to business need.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Ability to compose professional and grammatically correct business correspondence.
• Professional and positive communication skills.
• Courteous and friendly demeanor.
• Accurate cash and credit card handling skills.
• Proficiency with basic math computations (making change).
• Ability to respond in a calm and professional manner under stress.
• Computer literate.
Education and Work Experience:
• High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Previous customer service experience strongly preferred.
