Sodexo is hiring! Seeking an Environmental Services/Custodial Manager t o oversee Hillsborough Community College, 9 seperate campuses across Tampa, FL. Reporting to the General Manager of Environmental Services, this Custodial Manager will oversee 4 supervisors and up to 50 custodial staff.

The Custodial Manager will be a Hands ON Manager responsible for execution and delivery of work order flow, ensuring custodial standards and schedules are maintained, coaching and training, and customer satisfaction.
Reporting to the Custodial General Manager, your responsibilities will include:
• Assist with ensuring a safe, clean environment for all students, faculty, employees and guests on campus.
• Hands on leader, manage by walking around;
• Maintain cleaning schedules, chemical safety;
• Train and develop custodial team, including safety training, use of custodial equipment including but not limited to wet/dry vacuums, extractors, buffers, sprayers, auto scrubbers and electric carts;
• Demonstrate willingness to perform at a high level in a team environment with a desire for career advancement.
Is this the job for you? The ideal candidate will possess the following:
• 3+ years' experience as Environmental Service / Housekeeping / Custodial supervisor or manager with a drive for ongoing professional growth;
• Strong working knowledge of cleaning standards, cleaning chemicals, floor care, high touch cleaning, COVID cleaning protocols.
• Skill in employee engagement, hiring, training and coaching;

• Quality Assurance Skills and attention to detail;
• Computer Savvy – use of web based tools;
• Flexibility with schedule – to oversee both shifts – potential shift being 10 am – 6 pm;
• valid Driver's License - will be traveling from campus to campus; and

Position Summary
Provides management oversight for Environmental Services non-exempt level staff (client and/or Sodexo employees) in the delivery of Sodexo Environmental Service Programs. Ensures Sodexo Operating Standards for Environmental Service are in place as required to consistently meet all company, client, and regulatory requirements. Responsible for non-exempt work force planning through effective scheduling, development of daily work flow assignments, training and development, and monitoring for compliance to the plan.
Key Duties
-Establishes a safe work environment for clients, customers and staff by ensuring equipment safety and compliance with Sodexo safety and loss prevention programs and by providing safety-related training and equipment inventory maintenance.
-Provide leadership and direction to non-exempt employees
-Coordinate/conduct employee training
-Administer Human Resource processes (hiring, performance reviews, constructive counseling, prepare work schedules, payroll, etc.)
-Interact with outside vendors
-Ensure Sodexo Operating Standards for Environmental Service are in place and consistently met.
-Develop/implement action plans for improvement in compliance with Sodexo Operating Standards as identified.
-Reviews and maintains assigned areas of the Sodexo/Client budget commitments.
Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
