Job Summary: The Resident Pharmacist Peds II operates in a more clearly defined area of practice and/or provides a specialized scope of pharmacy services as specified by the Residency Program Director, Pharmacy Clinical Coordinator, and Director of Pharmacy.  Residents will serve as a resource person for Medical, Nursing, and Pharmacy Staff.  Residents will participate in the development of new services, systems and skills within the Pharmacy Services Department. The Pharmacy Resident supervises pharmacy technicians and interns.  When need arises, will perform other duties as assigned by the Residency Program Director, Pharmacy Clinical Coordinator, and Director of Pharmacy. Completes all assigned learning objectives in the areas of Pediatric/Neonatal Pharmacy Practice Management, Pediatric/Neonatal Pharmacy Practice, and associated elective rotations; developing a Medication Utilization Evaluation (MUE); journal clubs; pharmacy patient care lectures; and completion of one major project for presentation at a national meeting of pharmacy practitioners.

Graduate of accredited School or College of Pharmacy and Doctor of Pharmacy degree required.

Active Florida Pharmacist License must be obtained within 3 months of starting residency
