Why You’ll Love This Job:
The Financial Reporting & Accounting team reports corporate financial information and drives the related requirements for financial statements and accompanying notes. The Sr Accountant role is involved in month end close accounting for various processes specifically including, but not limited to the responsibilities below.
Your Primary Responsibilities:
• Accounting for assigned areas which could include, but not limited to, cash, revenue recognition, accounts receivable and bad debt, internally developed software, information technology, fixed assets, professional services
• Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations
• Engage with cross-functional teams in a collaborative way in order to ensure timely and accurate accounting
• Actively participate in DTCC-wide projects such as process automation/process improvement
• Implement improvements to existing policies and procedures documents for areas of expertise
• Assist external and internal auditors with year-end and other audits as needed

Talents Needed for Success
• Bachelor's degree required, CPA a plus
• 3-7 years of progressive financial reporting and accounting experience, multi-national experience is a plus
• Ability to execute multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and meet critical deadlines
• Intense attention to detail
• Collaborative approach to problem solving and comfortable working with cross-functional teams
• Curiosity with an appetite to learn and a desire to connect the dots
• Flexibility in team assignments, willing to help where needed
• Fondness towards improving processes and unafraid to challenge the norm
• Familiarity with Oracle Cloud a plus
• Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (U.S. GAAP)
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
