ECS is seeking a Data Scientist - Developer to work in our MacDill AFB, FL office. Job Description: The successful candidate will have experience as a mid- or senior-level data scientist with experience in a Military, Federal Government, and/or Intelligence Community organization with a demonstratable history of designing, developing, and maintaining data architectures and data visualization tools. Responsibilities: Supports the Data Scientist Lead in developing and implementing coding and scripting solutions to retrieve, receive, and transmit operational data in support of the CENTCOM J3 Operations data management mission. Supports all US/Coalition operational data science requirements. Candidate must be able to interact professionally and successfully with Government operational representatives. Candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate highly technical information to a broad operational audience. Required Skills: Must be a US Citizen Active TS clearance and SCI eligibility; be able to securely handle/safeguard classified information BA/BS in Data Science/Analytics, Computer Sciences, Information Technology, or related fields Five to eight years relevant work experience Experience with high-level military staff briefing and action items Experience with data normalization, mining/aggregation, and visualization Experience with operational dashboard design, development, and use Experience with ESRI ArcGIS technologies, including ArcGIS Server, ArcSDE, and ArcGIS Model Builder Highly experienced with Microsoft Office O365 products; excellent writing/briefing skills Must be available for travel to both domestic and international locations (CENTCOM AOR); no combat zone travel is authorized on this contract Ability to support a dynamic, fast-paced work environment Desired Skills: BA/BS in Data Science/Analytics, Mathematics/Statistics, Computer Sciences, Information Technology, or related fields Experience with / knowledge of databases (TSQL, MySQL, Oracle, PostGres, etc.) Experience with / knowledge of computer coding / languages (Python, Ruby, R, Java, Scala, Rust, etc.) Minimum five years' experience using Python to automate GIS and non-GIS tasks Experience implementing Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning capabilities Experience with Microsoft Power BI ECS is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate or allow discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, age, national origin, citizenship, disability, veteran status or any other classification protected by federal, state, or local law.
