The role you’ll contribute:
The Supervisor for the Surgical Service line directs and supervises the day-to-day functions of the Service line in accordance with federal, state, local standards and Adventist Health Systems Corporate guidelines and regulations.  The Supervisor for the Surgical Service is responsible for carrying out all established policies including but not limited Surgical Services and HKRC guidelines.
For the clinical aspect, the Service Line Supervisor is responsible for the effective implementation of the philosophy, goals, policies, and procedures of the hospital and the surgery department. This position adheres to the Advent Health Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state, federal agencies and accrediting bodies.
Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all, while implementing the principles of AdventHealth. This position oversees the coordination of equipment, supplies and implants necessary for the delivery of care to patients within Surgical Services Department. Works with Surgeons and other physicians to coordinate requests for each procedure scheduled. Responsible for reviewing and revising schedules with physicians for individual service line cases, ensuring all equipment is ordered in a timely manner and available. Works with vendors on new products and collects information on these new products for evaluation by AdventHealth’s Purchasing Department, ensures all products used are corporate approved. Oversees the maintenance of preference cards.  Acts as a liaison between the  physicians and Surgical Services Department and supports staff and management with the needs of the schedule.

• Assist leadership in building Surgical Services budgets.
• Accountable for correlation and expenditure of invoices.
• Analyze financial statement trends and report findings to appropriate Leadership.
• Evaluate the reimbursement of hospital programs to determine the profitability of service lines.
• Facilitate supply chain relationship between vendors, physicians, and the hospital for cost-effective and quality-care supplies and equipment.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
• Graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology, Certified Surgical First Assisting, and/or Nursing upon hire
• At least five (5) years healthcare experience required in a multi-specialty setting.
• CST/CFA or ADN in Nursing
• At least 3 years intraoperative Surgical experience preferred.
• Current BLS Certification upon hire
