GENERAL SUMMARY
Under general supervision of the Maintenance Project Manager, responsible for general maintenance repairs, related PM’s in a complex building campus. May include tasks such as finish & trim, flooring and ceiling repairs, minor plumbing repairs, minor mechanical maintenance and other tasks related to building condition. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Life safety precautions must be followed depending upon the work assignment. Requires attention to detail. Position requires continuous physical activity (such as bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting), using power tool equipment, and lifting objects of 70 lbs.
This position has been evaluated as a Level 3 in accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) definition of occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens.
Level III Positions in this category require the performance of tasks which do not involve exposure to blood and potentially infectious body fluids.

QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) required. Basic knowledge of carpentry, mechanical, electrical and plumbing. One-year hospital or large institutional experience preferred.
