Job Description
A top-tier manufacturer is looking for a Maintenance Technician.
They seek a Maintenance Technician responsible for monitoring and maintaining the operation of all systems and equipment. Possibly including but not limited to balers, conveyor belts, gearboxes, electrical motors, pulleys, shafts, and bearings.
This Maintenance Technician position must respond to all system failures by taking appropriate corrective action by completing or assigning the repairs needed to ensure that systems are operational and are functioning safely and efficiently.
Requirements for Maintenance Technician:
* Proficient in welding and fabrication.
* know about single and three-phase electrical systems.
* know about electrical control systems.
* know about hydraulic systems.
* know about pneumatic systems, including air compressors.
* Safely operates tools and equipment needed during the repair and servicing of equipment.
* Diagnose defects and repair a variety of equipment and vehicles.
Duties of Maintenance Technician:
• Performs preventive maintenance inspection (PM); diagnose, repair, and rebuild major equipment/components including but not limited to balers, conveyors, hydraulic power packs, eddy currents, electro-magnetic belts, optical sorters, diverters, compressors, trash compactors, motors, glass breakers, wire tie systems, fans, pumps, forklifts, front-end loaders, and building equipment.
• Maintains DEI (Daily Equipment Inspections) backlog.
Education/Certifications for Maintenance Technician:
• Associate's degree in a Technical Field or
• Bachelor's degree and OR technical certifications like Rockwell, etc.
• Five or more years of experience as a supervisor in a manufacturing facility with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
• Thorough understanding of manufacturing plant operations (industry experience must include manufacturing).
• Six Sigma certifications preferred
• CMMS, RS Logix, Allen-Bradley, PLC
• CPMM, SMRP certificate preferred
