Hiring Salary Range: $25.00 to $26.34 per hour
DUTIES:
The Program Manager will oversee a grant-funded project to implement a transfer course articulation platform. The Program Manager will plan and designate project resources, prepare budgets, monitor progress, and serve as a liaison with relevant stakeholders, serving as an essential member of the team to ensure the project is completed on time and within budget.
Specific Responsibilities
• Manage necessary aspects of the project to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope
• Identify resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources effectively and efficiently
• Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
• Oversee the day-to-day workflow of the project, implementing adjustments as needed
• Establish and implement project communication plan, providing status updates and regular status reports to affected staff and stakeholders
• Manage communication with vendors and stakeholders by assigning tasks and detailing expected deliverables
• Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout project execution
• Make recommendations, note challenges, and identify areas for improvement to ensure the grant objectives are met
Required Skillset
• Thorough understanding of information technology procedures and practices
• Understanding of the Florida State University System
• Understanding of the Florida Consortium of Metropolitan Universities
• Proven ability to solve problems creatively
• Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
• Demonstrated experience managing large-scale IT projects from start to finish
• Excellent analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful
• Demonstrated ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
QUALIFICATIONS (Education & Experience):
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree and four years' experience or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to eight years.
Preferred Qualifications:
• 3-5 years of project management and related experience, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Proficient with, or able to quickly become proficient with, a range of general and specialized applications, software, and hardware used in the organization and the industry.
• Excellent verbal, written, and oral communication skills. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, project management, business, or related field.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
