PeopleReady of Tampa is looking for a full-time Pre-Cast Welder for a local concrete company.
Our client is an industry-leading, design-build, commercial construction company with its own state-of-the-art, pre-cast concrete production facility. With a vast portfolio, our skilled team works on a variety of projects in commercial and industrial construction. This is an excellent opportunity to start with a growing company.  If you have experience with arc and gas welding, we'd love to hear from you!Shift Timings - 1st Shift (Day) , 2nd Shift (Evening) & 3rd Shift (Night), Monday – Friday with overtime availablePay Rate – Depends on experience, but starts at $20 per hourResponsibilities: * Read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and other written instructions * Perform ARC, MIG, TIG and other types of welding based on project needs * Field installation of concrete panels and precast * Select proper fillers for jobs based on previous experience or project instructions * Coordinate with field crew for efficient installations * Conserve resources whenever possible to ensure budgetary integrity and client satisfaction * De-bur and grind metal as necessary to achieve proper surface texture * Assist with the layout and repair of metal equipment * Execute welding safety and to comply with hot permit policy * Perform maintenance inspections * Will be working with torches, flame welding, inert gas welding, and electric arc welding
Qualifications:
* High school diploma/GED preferred * 2+ years experience operating as a commercial welder * Current and valid certification in 4G 3/8 plate, and working toward a 6G pipe certification * Experience working on construction sites and with power tools * Knowledge of construction site best practices and safety procedures * Ability to travel to jobs located up to 300 miles away * Valid Driver's License.
* Have a working knowledge of all welding aspects * Should have a basic knowledge of metal types * General knowledge of gases and their safe application * Able to work nights, weekends and holidays as required * Proficient in the English language * Basic mathematical skills are required, as well as adequate reading and writing skills * Able to safely lift items 50 pounds or more with the assistance of others * Able to stand on ladders for long periods of time * Able to climb up various heights (200+ feet) on all types of ladders * Have full mobility including the ability to walk, sit, stand, stoop, climb, push, pull, bend and squat * Ability to work rotating shifts to include nights, weekends, and holidays * Available to work overtime when required by supervisor or manager
