Our client, an established nonprofit, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their large Accounting and Finance department. The Staff Accountant is a true go-getter, isn’t afraid to ask questions, and loves solving problems.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$50k – $55k
Position Overview:
The Staff Accountant will be joining the collaborative Accounting and Finance Department, reporting directly to the Accounting Manager. This is a career-making opportunity for a Staff Accountant to join a successful nonprofit and grow within the organization.
Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant:
• Budget and grant tracking and reporting
• Variance analysis
• Performing reconciliation
• Billing and accounts receivable processing
• Expense reporting, accounts payable processing, and coding
• Data entry of budgets and grant information
• Assisting with year-end closing and audit preparation
• Ad-hoc projects as needed
Qualifications of the Staff Accountant:
• 1 to 3 years of accounting experience
• Highly proficient in Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables, and formulas)
• Experience with Financial Edge preferred
• Professional and highly capable
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Willing and eager to learn
• Energetic
Education Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics required
