Tax Manager Job Duties:
• Manage the income tax compliance function for North American entities, including timely filing of estimated tax payments and tax returns.
• Manage the preparation and recording of the North American income tax provision, including financial statement reporting in accordance with IFRS.
• Enhance the development and documentation of procedures and internal controls within the tax function in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley § 404.
• Assist in the implementation of tax credit opportunities related to expansion projects at site locations.
• Manage audit reviews by federal and state tax authorities for income and franchise taxes.
• Oversee preparation of annual tax documentation of transfer prices and advise business units on transfer pricing policies.
• Research complex income and commodity tax issues and develop recommendations.
• Assists in merger and acquisition activities, including tax and financing structures, tax due diligence, tax inputs on valuation models and purchase and sale agreements
• Manage special projects as needed
Job Requirements:
Tax Manager Skills/Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA HIGHLY preferred and OR advanced degree in taxation preferred
• 4+ years of professional tax experience required
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
• Solid critical thinking and analysis and attention to detail
• Strong planning and organization skills and understanding of the importance of deadlines
• Superb communication skills required
