is hiring a Telecommunication Apprentice - GS in the following area(s): Tampa, FL.Who We're Looking For:Velex is currently looking for motivated people that are interested in a career in the Telecommunications Industry. As a Telecommunication Apprentice for Ground Services, you will receive state of the art industry training while earning a steady income. Velex will provide you with hands-on training and the best gear available.What You'll Do:Your first two weeks will be spent learning from our seasoned Telecommunications professionals in a controlled environment. There will be a mix of classroom and hands-on training. After your training is complete you will be assigned to either a Small Cell, Civil, Power Plant, Generator or Integration crew in market where you will be able to show what you have learned as well and continue to learn and grow within the Ground Services disciplines.Training will include:OSHA 10CPR & First AidRiggingRF AwarenessElectrical SafetyLadder SafetySafe Climbing Practices, Procedures, and Rescue PlansBuilding Materials (BOM, Parts & Equipment)Construction & Installation KnowledgeQuality Control & CloseoutsEquipment OperatorThe Qualities You Possess:Strong work ethic demonstrated by setting high standards of performance for self, assuming responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments or tasks and self-imposing standards of excellence rather than having standards imposed.Motivation to succeedEnjoy working with your hands outside in the elementsBeing a team player in the truest sense, with an ability to develop and use collaborative relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals.
