Robert Half is currently assisting a growing organization in E. Tampa in a search for an Accounting Manager. The Accounting Manager is responsible for assisting the Controller in maintaining the financial operation and integrity of the organization. Develops standards and processes for proper financial management and ensures compliance with regulations. Prepares financial reconciliations and reporting by collecting, reviewing, and summarizing account information. Provides financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data.
• Develops, implements and maintains systems, procedures and policies to ensure adherence to company guidelines.
• Analyze, apply and improve accounting policies, procedures, controls and principles.
• Manages monthly closing of financial records and posting of all month end journal entries.
• Preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations.
• Reviews financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
• Reviews income statement trends to ensure the accuracy of monthly financial statements.
• Provides accounting assistance to all staff; responds to financial questions/concerns to meet business needs; assist other departments as they develop strategies, establish objectives, and make decisions that could have a financial impact on the business.
• Support year-end financial audits.
• Additional duties as assigned.
