Title: Training Support Specialist
Salary Plan: Temporary
Hiring Salary/Salary Range: $17.00 to $19.50 per hour
FTE: 0.75 (30 hours per week)
Summary: This Training Support Specialist position will perform office duties and provide support to the Florida Center for Inclusive Communities at USF, mainly the Interdisciplinary Pre-Service Training Program. The successful candidate will have a key role supporting the educational function of the UCEDD, including the promotion, development, coordination, and evaluation of all pre-service training activities and programs.  In addition, the successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of support duties including administrative support to the directors & coordinators, support research initiatives, perform data entry, maintain marketing and social media channels, and web and product development.
DUTIES:
• Creates and disseminates marketing and recruitment materials and campaigns via email, web, social media, and other pertinent platforms.
• Develops survey instruments for evaluation; Performs data entry and creates reports for program evaluations, research and/or training activities, maintains trainee records.
• Serves as admissions and training coordinator for students in the Interdisciplinary Training Program by maintaining advising materials and assisting students to ensure completion of required activities (orientation, core modules, registration, plan of study, certificates of completion, etc.).
• Prepares presentation materials for use by others, editing content and adding appropriate graphic and design elements, including creating basic web content.
• Support projects in the development and dissemination of factsheets, learning modules, and other informational products.
• Supports various programs of the Center as appropriate, including Interdisciplinary Training, Marketing & Communications, and Health.
• Provides administrative support to the FCIC core team by organizing meetings, preparing agendas, taking notes, organizing meeting materials, etc.
• Maintains and updates the Center’s websites and social media channels.
• Creates, translates, proofreads, and revises translated documents in Spanish.
• Special assignments as needed.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications: This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with four years of experience in office or administrative positions. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
• A bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, public health, business administration or a related field.
• Basic knowledge and/or experience with CANVAS (or similar LMS) and Qualtrics (or similar survey software).
• Evidence of integrating technology into instruction, training, or using other emerging technologies.
• Experience in development and management of marketing initiatives and materials, especially on social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.).
• Evidence of successful experience working collaboratively and advising interdisciplinary groups of students and supporting faculty/staff on disability related projects & education.
• Evidence of service to the university, field, or profession focused on developmental disability.
• Experience in data collection, evaluation, and analysis.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
