Position Summary:
The Instrument Operator/I-Man operates conventional and GPS survey equipment along with utilizing additional descriptive methods such as note taking, sketches and other detailed drawings to accurately measure and gather land survey data for the preparation of numerous types of surveys; including but not limited to, As-Built Surveys, Construction Staking, Boundary Surveys, Elevation Certificates, Title Surveys, Topographic Surveys, Residential Plot Plan and Vacant Lot Surveys.
Responsibilities:
The Instrument Operator/I-Man position will include working with an assigned field crew under supervision of a Field Party Chief. Candidates must be responsible, motivated, and detailed oriented. The applicant must be able to work in a team environment but contribute as a key point individual if required. This position offers opportunities for advancement for individuals that demonstrate a strong work ethic and continually contribute to the success of the organization.
Other Duties include but may not be limited to:
• Assist in supervising other      field team members if required.
• Assist the Party Chief with all      aspects of the daily workload.
• Adhere to all safety procedures      and work policies as outlined and or verbally instructed.
• Work independently as a single      crew member if necessary.
• Assist in the care of survey      equipment and vehicles.
• Perform manual labor, such as      removing debris, trash, brush and other items that may interfere with the      data collection process for the survey.
• Ability to work overtime and      weekends if required to meet project deadlines.

Requirements
Requirements:
• Minimum of 1 yr. land survey      field experience, specifically working with various survey instruments      i.e. (Level Rods, Data Collectors, EDM’s, Total Stations)
• Knowledge of standard      principles, terms, and  applications of land surveying
• High School Diploma or GED
• Possession of a Valid Driver’s      License
• Demonstrate Good Communications      Skills
