Overview
Controls field service activities in two or more assigned branch offices in a region or territory.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the performance of the branch(es) to meet key performance objectives in each branch to align with company goals for service and service support (i.e. Response Time).
- Performs field visits for key customers to ensure service levels meet customer expectations.
- Manages call load and adjusts manpower between teams as necessary.
- Oversees training schedules and vacation to ensure adequate manpower is available for field and in-house service.
- Monitors parts activities to ensure proper procedures are being followed and budget goals are met.
- Involved in hiring, training, and developing current and new technical representatives and managers.
- Reviews employee promotions, salary adjustments and corrective action to make sure everything is aligned with overall service structure.
- Runs monthly reports using Oracle to clarify what strategic field service goals have been accomplished and what areas need more attention.
- Works with other departments such as Dispatch to resolve field situation that require immediate attention.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience required, plus 7 years of related experience and management of typically two or more regular full-time employees (one of whom must be exempt).
- 3 years service management experience in office technology industry.
- Strong communication skills including the desire to develop and lead a team, an interest in learning new technology in an evolving industry, and excellent time management skills.
- Hands on field technical experience with Canon products is necessary with a broad knowledge of products including digital and electromechanical technology.
- Knowledge of Internet, Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes and Oracle is preferred.
