Under the broad direction of the Radiologist, Manager of Diagnostic Imaging and the Administrator of Radiology Imaging Services, the Ultrasound Supervisor shall perform ultrasound examinations on selected portions of the anatomy as requested by the clinician on patients in the following age groups; adolescence 12-19 years of age, adults 20-65 and geriatric adults 65 years and older. The Ultrasound Supervisor is expected to perform a variety of ultrasound procedures with the knowledge and ability to obtain a quality diagnostic examination. Responsible to obtain a patient history and appropriate clinical data to aid in proper diagnostic correlation. Supervise the Ultrasound technologist and the daily operation of the Ultrasound department as it relates to schedules and procedures. Must be able to work scheduled, weekends and #ON CALL# hours. # Education: Associate#s degree Field of study:#Graduate of a Committee of Allied Health Education and AMA accredited Ultrasound program or equivalent. # License/Certifications required: BLS American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or equivalent TYPE OF EXPERIENCE: Minimum of five (5) years of previous Ultrasound experience in a hospital setting with at least one (1) year in a previous leadership role equired.
