The Director, Datawarehouse & Business Intelligence develops and maintains the data warehousing, business intelligence reporting, and application development frameworks, tools, enterprise data warehouse, data marts, internally developed applications, and integration solutions.  This role works cross-functionally with various business owners to determine and meet their reporting and analytics needs and manages the EDW/BI activities to ensure timely high-quality reporting, analytics, integration and, development. This person must ensure that the company has the necessary data, information, and application functionality for ongoing daily operations and strategic planning. In addition to managing these applications, this role works closely with Business Reporting team, who performs day to day L1 and L2 tasks around Dashboard and reporting functions, to ensure his/her IT team provides necessary L3 and L4 level support.
This position directs the activities of several functional areas through directors, managers/senior managers who have overall responsibility for the successful operation of those assigned areas. This role is also responsible for the data architecture and data strategy for the company.  This position has control of planning, staffing, budgeting, managing expense priorities, and recommending and implementing changes to methods. This role leads and manages a dedicated team of data professionals, hires and trains new staff, conducts performance reviews, and provides leadership and coaching, including technical and personal development programs for team members. It sets the security direction and standards for the organization. Requires close coordination and influence with affiliated companies, partners, and vendors.
This role provides strategic thought leadership and delivery (both process and technology) for all areas of the company and all technologies related to data warehouse, business intelligence, and data transformations. This includes advising IT and business leaders in the following areas:
Datawarehouse strategic roadmap, program development, and delivery
DW/BI implementation, technology evaluation, and solution recommendation
Data practices meet all local/state/province/country and federal laws and industry standards
Data Management and Integration, Defining Data & Analytics Strategy & Establishing Data Governance
Identifying and Defining Data & Analytics Investments
Drive the strategy and migration to Snowflake in the Cloud and provide a DW / BI solution that is based on cloud compute instead of fixed HW/SW.  Reduce system complexities and streamline technologies used in the company’s reporting and analytics ecosystem.  Drive cost-effective solutions by leveraging Power BI where possible or Open Source tools and technologies.
What We Need & What You'll Do (Responsibilities)
Designs, develop and implements the strategic roadmap for our customer Dashboard and reporting applications and services that outlines key functional capabilities to be invested and pursued that maximize sales and customer experience
Delivers an optimal internal and external customer experience across CompuCom's DW & BI applications by partnering cross-functionally with our Business (Capability Center, Delivery, Transition) and IT (Digital, Automation, Integrations, Network & Infrastructure, Finance & Supply chain and Security) teams
Owns the design and implementation of strategic initiatives to drive increase customer onboarding, retention and sales across our multiple CompuCom platforms
Responsible for building, developing and growing team, inclusive but not limited to interview and selection, coaching, performance management and development planning
Interacts internally with executive level management requiring negotiation of significant matters to identify key issues and relationships relevant to cost estimates for current and proposed projects impacting our platforms
Who You Are (Qualifications)
Level of Formal Education: Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent experience
Area of Study: Information Systems, Computer Science, eCommerce or business-related field
Years of Experience: 9+ years experience in related field
Type of Experience: Leading Software & Application development team, Vendor and Procurement engagement to manage software and professional services contracts. Partnering with Business leadership to deliver value to our customers.
Technical Competencies:
Experience in managing and delivering BI/DW Application development project and teams.

• Proven ability to work and interact closely with senior management levels to determine their business needs and obtain support for initiatives
• Strong leadership and organizational experience

• Understanding of complex automated systems
• Practical experience in developing and implementing a high-performing, customer experience driven environment and knowledge of "what good looks like"
