Pediatric Critical Care Internship
The PICU internship is an opportunity to acquire the knowledge and skills to transition into the PICU setting. Our PICU is for the care of critically ill children. The PICU is dedicated to providing compassionate care to seriously ill children, with a child-friendly and family centered care focus.
The internship is 24 weeks in length.
The internship will start on June 2022
The internship will include:
• Didactic course training combined with one-on-one preceptor-
• guided clinical orientation to ensure up -to -date and comprehensive care
• Interns will gain experience on both day and night shift before being assigned a permanent shift. The shift will be nights.
There is a two-year commitment required for the internship program specifically to the unit of hire beginning at the end of the program.
We are seeking motivated, mature, self-directed professionals who are interested in growing in a dynamic team and making a difference.
The Clinical Nurse II independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards. Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team. Is responsible for professional accountability and development. The CN II performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.
Required experience includes 1 year RN Acute Care experience
