Controller
As a Senior-level leader, our client’s Controller will be responsible for assisting the Treasurer/Managing Director of Corporate Operations managing the organization’s financial objectives and practices as directed by the Board of Directors and Audit and Finance Committee.
You should have:
• 10-15 years of finance experience.
• 5-7 years Director level experience.
• Current CPA license required. Position competencies and KSA’s are typical of a person with 10-15 years similar experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products, high utilization of spreadsheet and word processing capabilities. Ability to learn proprietary financial/accounting software
• Advanced proficiency in other office environment utilities (fax, scanner, copier, etc.)
• Keen awareness of high level of sensitive information, unwavering commitment to confidentiality; ability to be viewed as resource to management team and employees alike.
Your responsibilities as the Controller will include:
IBHS Financial Management
• Assist with the development, implementation and ensures compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures.
• Using sound Accounting principles and methodologies, assist with the monthly and annual financial statements and documentation process for the organization. May include financial statements, audit records, compliance forms and documents, debt management, sales tax, property tax, cash management, cost reports and staffing reports
• Assist with the development, implementation and revisions of the organization’s annual financial budget.
• Assist with management of leases, contracts and other financial commitments and ensure that all statutory requirements are met, including charitable status, payroll withholding payments, sales tax, and payroll taxes.
• Work with CRO & Member Relations to coordinate, process and collect annual members’ dues. Track and analyze revenue trends to continue the growth of the organization.
• Maintain appropriate payroll policies and procedures; manage payroll processing including taxes, eft’s, fees, etc.
