Human Resources GeneralistResponsibilities:Plan and conduct new team member onboarding:Meet with new employees and provide all company-related information necessary, including policies, benefits, and timekeeping.Coordinate benefits enrollment activity. Conduct team member out-processing:Benefits termination, including determining need for COBRA notification at termination and notifying appropriate entities of same.When out-processing employees, must coordinate last day of employment, termination of benefits, terms of 401K continuation, payout for PTO, exit interview with employee and the appropriate internal and external personnel.Analyze requests for information on current and former employees, determine appropriate response, and prepare same.Possess a thorough knowledge of all company policies and HR-related procedures and ability to effectively communicate and respond to questions and inquiries regarding application of policies and procedures in individual situations.Conduit for information regarding employee leave requests including FMLA, workers' compensation claims, and other types of leave. Collect employee data for annual reports, i.e., EEO-1, AAP, Vets, 401(k) auditPlan and coordinate HR-required training.Communicate with HR Director daily; provide updates of tasks in progress and any other relevant HR information.Work with accounting to resolve benefit billing issues, update team member personal data, and respond to unemployment compensation claims. Serve as back-up for Office Manager on an as-needed basis. Requirements:Minimum of BA degree and 2 - 4 years' HR experience. Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel and Power Point, and Sharepoint experience a plus.Solution oriented approach to the job, ability to multi-task and switch priorities on short notice.PHR Certification a plusAbility to handle stress and interact effectively with others in the workplaceRegular and predictable attendancePhysical Components and Work Environment:Minimum physical demands of position:Employee needs to be able to sit at a workstation for extended periods; use hand(s) to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.Position requires ability to work on desktop or laptop computer, sometimes for extended periods of time, reading, reviewing/analyzing information, and providing recommendations, summaries and/or reports via email or otherwise in written format.Employee may be required to occasionally lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight, typically less than 15 pounds.Regular and predictable attendance is essential.Work environment:Office type environment with temperature control.The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.May be exposed to chemicals related to office equipment.
