Overview
Kimley-Horn is looking for upcoming or recent Environmental Science graduate to join our Tampa, Florida (FL) office.
Responsibilities
Our analysts benefit from hands-on experience, technical and consulting trainings, mentorship opportunities, and developmental programs geared towards growing Kimley-Horn’s next generation of leaders. You will also gain exposure to client interactions and project financials. As a valuable addition to our team, you will solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate with partners. The main goal of this position is to assist clients by assessing project-specific impacts and presenting innovative solutions to tackle environmental challenges. Specific job activities include but are not limited to: Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments, contamination assessments, remedial design and oversight, and dewatering permitting.
Qualifications
Ideal candidates will have knowledge in one or more of the following: natural resource regulations, water quality regulatory programs, wetlands identification including knowledge of botany and soil science and experience in ecology, wildlife biology, water resources, geographic information systems and environmental science.
• BS or MS - relevant college majors include Biology, Environmental Science, or related majors
• 0 - 3 years of relevant experience
• Desire to work in both an office environment and in the field
• Prior field experience
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
• Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
• Detail-oriented team player with the ability to contribute to a positive work environment
• Strong technical writing and organizational skills
• Some travel may be required (approximately 10%)
• The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced work environment as well as the ability to manage and prioritize several assignments concurrently and meet deadlines
