As an Accounting Supervisor, you will support the accounting functions of Busch Gardens Tampa and Adventure Island by performing various daily functions to ensure accurate financial results are being generated and overall SeaWorld Entertainment corporate policies are being followed.
What you get to do:
•   Act as the Accounts Payable liaison for Busch Gardens and Adventure Island by performing a variety of tasks including, but not limited to:
o   Submitting utility bills for each park
o   Submitting immediate need requests and printing checks
o   Researching vendor payment issues
o   Contacting vendors for missing invoices
o   Researching purchase orders that are blocked for payment due to receiving issues, pricing, etc.
•   Print and record hard copy tickets, meal coupons and other needed items as requested
•   Review freight charges and reclass miscoded items accordingly ensuring these charges are assigned to the proper expense account or identified with a specific capital project prior to that project being closed
•   Maintain capital project files, assist with creating new projects, and review the asset listing to identify items being disposed of
•   Track all vehicle tag renewals ensuring licensing of all vehicles are current
•   Maintain and submit utility tracking file used by the corporate office
•   Maintain a listing of all park licensing, fees, and other annual renewals to ensure timely filing and payments are made.
•   Within the Concur system, verify the correct account codes are assigned and ensure sales taxes are correctly recorded and paid on purchases
•   Maintain the storage and filing of all daily paperwork related to general accounting processes
•   Additional projects and tasks as assigned
What it takes to succeed:
•   Must be at least 18 years of age
•   Have a high school diploma or equivalent; College degree preferred in Accounting, finance, or related business discipline
•   Knowledge of ERP systems, SAP knowledge preferred
•   Ability to quickly master proprietary systems applications software and report writers
•   Ability to effectively perform in a multitask oriented environment to meet specific deadlines
•   Effective written and oral communication skills across all levels of the organization
•   Excellent interpersonal skills
•   Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
•   Must be familiar with Microsoft Office tools and functionality; intermediate skill level in Excel required
