The Surgical Technician II is a member of the health care team who performs technical support in the perioperative period under the direction and supervision of a RN according to accepted clinical standards of care.

This job posting is for a Full time, Variable shift Surgical Technologist position at St. Joseph's Women's Hospital in Tampa, FL.
Certifications and Licensures:
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Preferred CST (Surgical Tech) from NBSTSA or NCCT
Education:
• High School or Equivalent
• Completion of an Accredited Surgical Technology Program;
• OR completion of a military Surgical Technologist Program;
• OR hospital based training program with 5 years acute care Surgical Tech experience
Experience:
• 1 year Surgical Technician
• OR 5 years if completed hospital or military based training
Specific Skills:
• Sterile technique
• Instrumentation
• Equipment
• Sterile field set-up
• Interpersonal skills
