What you’ll be doing...
As the Project Manager for Work Forward and other key HR transformation initiatives, you will be leading initiatives to drive execution and evolution of our strategy in support of Verizon and the HR Annual Operating Plan.
You will be responsible for the successful execution of projects with broad scope and impact. You will be responsible for planning, guiding, and coordinating work across functions to ensure sustained focus and timely delivery as we build scalable global solutions. You will define and prioritize project activities, provide executive-level support, communicate with stakeholders, as well as elevate risks and issues, present recommendations, and implement modifications to plans as needed.
Key responsibilities include:
• Develop action plans, secure owners, and define governance.
• Prioritize project work in accordance with strategy and goals.
• Identify opportunities to add and accelerate value add delivery, translate concepts into an actionable plan for execution and create business cases for new initiatives.
• Collaborate and coordinate with a range of internal stakeholders and sponsors in planning, defining projects, driving decisions, and adding structure to solve business problems.
• Ensure scope, budget, and timelines are clearly defined, communicated, and agreed upon by project stakeholders.
• Define, manage, and oversee the allocation, utilization, and monitoring of project resources.
• To the extent possible, develop/leverage external and internal benchmarks.
• Define success metrics, analyze issues, and develop creative solutions to support resolution.
• Operate at all levels of the organization and continuously raise the bar to drive teams to deliver high quality results.

You appreciate the importance of working in an environment where diverse backgrounds and different points of view are valued and as such, will solicit and involve others from broad and diverse backgrounds. At the end of the day, you get the job done.
You’ll need to have:
• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Six or more years of relevant work experience.
• Experience supporting transformation programs.
• Experience working across cross-functional teams.
• Experience with developing, implementing, and tracking metrics, data analysis, and reporting at the organizational level.
• Experience creating and presenting presentations to all levels of an organization.
• Experience handling extremely confidential information appropriately.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
• MBA or Master’s degree.
• Six or more years of project management experience.
• Experience in leading large-scale change projects.
• Strong organization skills, project management skills, and attention to detail.
• Strong business acumen with a broad understanding of business operations.
• Proactive, able to prioritize work, and handle multiple assignments in a timely manner.
• Experience with Smartsheet, Stormboard or similar
• Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
• Large program design and management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Exceptional analytical and data visualization skills.
• Strong business acumen.
• Comfort with ambiguity.
• Autonomy in getting things done.
• Ability to drive results at all levels, regardless of reporting structures.
